How We Notify You When Your Form Is Ready

When your completed sealed Form I-693 is ready for pickup, our office will contact you using the contact information you provided at the time of your appointment. This is typically done by phone or text message. Please make sure the phone number and email address on file with our office are current and that you are checking for messages regularly during your processing window.

If you provided an email address, you may also receive an email notification. However, phone or text notification is the most reliable method, so please ensure your phone number is correct. If you change your contact information after your appointment, call our office immediately to update your records.

Your Expected Processing Window

Your processing window depends on the option you selected at the time of your appointment. With Standard 3-Day Processing, your form is typically ready within 3 business days of your appointment. With 2-Day Expedited Processing, your form is typically ready within 2 business days. Processing time is measured in business days and excludes weekends and federal holidays.

For example, if your appointment was on a Monday and you selected Standard 3-Day Processing, you would expect your form to be ready by Thursday. If you selected 2-Day Expedited Processing, you would expect it by Wednesday. Keep these windows in mind so you know when to expect your notification.

What to Do If You Have Not Heard Back

If you have not received a notification within your expected processing window, do not assume there is a problem — sometimes notifications are delayed or missed. The best course of action is to call our office directly to check on the status of your form.

When you call, have your name, date of birth, and appointment date ready. Our staff will be able to look up your file and tell you whether your form is ready, still being processed, or if there is any issue that needs to be addressed. Most of the time, a quick phone call is all it takes to get an update.

What Can Delay Your Form

In most cases, Form I-693 is ready within the standard processing window. However, certain situations can cause delays. The most common cause of delay is laboratory results that take longer than expected to be returned. Some tests — such as TB cultures or confirmatory tests for reactive results — may require additional time.

Other potential causes of delay include high appointment volume at our clinic, civil surgeon review of complex medical findings, or the need to contact you for additional information. If your form is delayed for any reason, our office will contact you to explain the situation and provide an updated timeline.

If You Have an Urgent Deadline

If you have an upcoming USCIS interview, an RFE response deadline, or another time-sensitive situation, let our office know as early as possible — ideally at the time you schedule your appointment. The earlier we know about your deadline, the more we can do to prioritize your processing.

If a deadline arises after your appointment, call our office immediately. Do not wait until the last business day before your deadline to check on your form. Early communication gives us the best chance of meeting your needs.
